It was almost a year after I decided to take photography as my new hobby then I enrolled myself at Proud Photography’s Online Photography Course. I of course browsed the internet to look for other online photography courses but as I searched for more, I came across a lot of negative reviews concerning these online photography courses. That convinced me there has to be at least one online photography course that was really good. That was when I stumbled on Proud Photography. It has won me over because of their positive reviews. In my opinion the reviews were somewhat real and not overly exaggerated.
After I enrolled myself at Proud Photography, I was assigned to one of their mentors. The purpose of having a mentor is so they can guide you throughout the course. In all of my assignments, my mentor, Greg Howell, always offer suggestions and constructive criticisms so I could improve my photographs. Greg is always supportive of me and I truly appreciate the feedback that he had made on all of my assignments.
Proud Photography’s online photography course covers a variety types of photography and techniques. The one thing that is clear to me while doing the course is that different types of photography requires different settings on your camera. That information helped me a lot when I was doing their assignments.
I nailed the shot below when I had the opportunity to shoot water sports for Brunei Shutters Photography Competition. I used the skills and information that I learned from the course when I shot this image. Thanks to Proud Photography, this shot earned me 19 points (3rd place) of overall participations and 1st place in my group.

I personally recommend Proud Photography’s online course to beginner to intermediate photographers. There are so much more that you get to learn (if you are a beginner) and you might find out something new about photography that you did not know before.
Take a look and if you think that Proud Photography’s online photography course is for you then my advise to you is for you to give 100% of your effort into this course. I recommend you to put aside your ego and open your mind so you could learn more from the course and your mentor. Because that is what happened to me.
Take a peek at one of my B&W images that I shot in 2009.
Enjoy your Friday everyone!
